Timothy Hollingsworth
born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Placerville, California, is an acclaimed chef celebrated for his innovative culinary style. He began his career as a dishwasher at Eighteen in a country French restaurant in his hometown, before joining The French Laundry in Napa Valley in 2001, where he quickly worked his way up to chef de cuisine. His rise in the culinary world solidified his reputation as a leading figure.
In 2012, Hollingsworth moved to Los Angeles to pursue his own ventures, consulting globally and, in 2015, partnering with The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation to open Otium. Located in Downtown Los Angeles, Otium blends fine dining with a more casual, approachable style, showcasing California's diverse ingredients with bold, globally inspired flavors. The restaurant quickly became a staple in LA's food scene.
Hollingsworth continued to push the boundaries of creative dining with Chain, a concept co-founded in 2021 with actor and writer B.J. Novak. Chain reimagines nostalgic fast food, offering elevated takes on iconic dishes in immersive settings.
Hollingsworth's culinary vision reflects his passion for family, global flavors, and community. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Caroline, and their four children.
